Rules Vs Changes Applicable for IPL Season 3

Lalit Modi have announced following changes for the Season 3 for Indian Premier League

IPL Rules and Changes

1)  The fielding captain will have the option to take a two and half minute strategic time out between the 6th and 10th overs and the batsman will have the option to take a two and half minute strategic time out between the 11th and 16th overs.

2) IPL will use the services of ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit.
3) Transfer window will open on December 15, 2009 and end on January 5, 2010.
4) A US$7 million cap will be maintained at the auction.
5) All players to obtain NOC from their respective countries every year.
6) Icon player status to be abolished.
